Romanina

Years ago, before starting this project, the publisher and I discussed whether we should write another novel about the Roman underworld or drug trafficking. - You try it, let's see what comes out - he told me. Many months later I gave him the manuscript and he read it, when I met him again we decided to start the long process that ended with this second publication.
Why read Romanina? Because it is a novel that neither accuses nor absolves, it merely brings to life before your eyes a series of events that, as I continue to do, await your judgement.

Born in the 1960s when the Romanina was a degraded and difficult suburb, Lorenzo de Giorgi soon moved away from it. To free himself from that reality, he climbed the heights of drug trafficking with a daring sailing ship transport from the Straits of Gibraltar to Puglia.
The money obtained, however, will appeal to friends and enemies alike, and Lorenzo will discover this to his cost.

With Romanina Massimiliano Avesani brings his alter ego Lorenzo to life, alternating moments of superb lyricism with the atmospheres of the Thtiller and the darkest noir.

- The instrument is not important, murder is a mental barrier, nothing more than a mental barrier; the human body is fragile.
They approached the Vespa in silence, before starting it Santo looked at him. - I like to think I have that barrier.
- Bravo, it is precious, keep it carefully... very carefully....

I had worked six months for that money, six months of nausea and headaches... the discomfort lasted me a long time, I returned to normal days after returning to Don Facundo's ranch... Life sucks, but I learned. Since that day, I have always avoided being caught between a person and the thing they want.
